IT IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY TO STOP SEXUAL PREDATORS & ENABLERS IN THE SPORT OF FLAG / AMERICAN FOOTBALL

If YOU are a survivor-victim (regardless of your age, gender or status position in the sport) of any form of Sexual Misconduct by a Coach / Staff / President / Representative / Referee / Team Medic / Player / Parent Volunteer, anyone involved in the (Flag / American Football) community in Panama or any Latin American country or IFAF member nation over the past 20+ years and/or you tried to report to someone in a leadership position or Federation/League President or IFAF Americas Director or any IFAF Executives in the sport and were told, 'It's a personal issue, not a football issue!' or 'We don't have Sexual Misconduct policies!' or 'It's not our problem!', or 'If you think something illegal happened, then go to the courts/police because it's not a football issue' or 'Just forget about it and move on!' or ANY developing nation patriarchal oppressive toxic misogynist classic Systemic Negligence / Rape-Culture / Silence-Culture excuse and considering Latin America is participating in a 1st world sport (Flag / American Football) and should be following the same Sexual Misconduct policies as 1st world nations and offering established, published, distributed and enforced detailed-boundaries, preventive, protective and investigative policies and procedures.
Or if you were told patriarchal oppressive classic comments of Victim Blaming, Victim Shaming, Victim Discrediting, or Gaslighting or DAVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse, Victim, Offender) with the intent to destabilize your truth/facts/emotions/memory to silence you from reporting or you were told 'if' they make the report or get the police or sports authority involved it will ruin your future football career or national team or all star team or travel team opportunities or sponsorship/scholarship opportunities or if you were intimidated/threatened with repercussions for standing up for your self-worth and self-dignity or ANY reason given as to why your report was not taken serious and not reviewed/investigated or it was belittled or dismissed for not being dramatic enough (ie. like a movie-style violent physical/sexual rape scene) or were not believed because of preconceived notions of toxic misogyny or you were accused of lying or they simply just didn't respond... No response by leadership is a GUILTY (ENABLER) response because the reality is your report was/is------------ |
INCONVENIENT TO SELFISH INVESTED INTERESTS such as but not limited to; money/sponsorship, power/control, status-quo/reputation, (protecting the football institution, league or team image or protecting the reputation of an alleged perpetrator, 'especially' if s/he holds a high status position or 'Coach God' status position in the sport, and since the vast majority of Sexual Misconduct cases in society and sports are committed by men (patriarchal oppression - ergo, the reputation of the male seems to only matter and is only believed (and SEXUAL PREDATORS ALWAYS LIE and ALWAYS DENY ALLEGATIONS and NEVER voluntarily pay back their victims the financial losses they have caused them unless advised by their lawyer to elude prosecution/jail time whereas the victim/female reputation, sufferings, financial losses doesn't seem to matter and/or is not believed. This is systemic negligence!!!...
Ms Elle, is collaborating with trusted international advocates who are committed, as she is, to preventing and eliminating abuses in sport. Ms Elle has begun collecting survivor-victims stories in English or Spanish to not only expose alleged sexual predators but also to document and understand how they go about their alleged sexual misconduct crimes and how they can roam freely with total impunity for years in Flag / American Football in Latin America and to understand who are the enabler/bystander leaders who allowed them to continue. ANY FLAG / AMERICAN FOOTBALL ORGANIZATION (federation/league/team) THAT DOES NOT HAVE WRITTEN, DEFINED, DETAILED, SPECIFIC SEXUAL MISCONDUCT POLICIES / RULES OUTLINING THE BOUNDARIES PER EXAMPLE (COACH VS PLAYER) TO PROTECT THEIR FOOTBALL COMMUNITY OF ANY AGE, OF ANY GENDER, OF ANY STATUS POSITION IN THE SPORT, IS NEGLIGENT!!! The #1 priority of any sport organization is Safe Guarding and Duty Of Care! Alleged sexual predators can't continue in organizations for years unless there are negligent enablers/bystanders who allow them to continue. In essence enablers/bystanders are just as guilty as the sexual predators themselves! |
If you are a survivor-victim or not sure if you are a survivor-victim because of the surrounding circumstances of your experience (per example; if you are a preteen or teenage player and your coach incrementally sexually groomed you over weeks, months, possibly even years (especially applies to preteen age girls) with using emotional, psychological, physical manipulative tactics and coerced or pressured you into sex under 'false pretense' of a 'romantic relationship' and s/he is approximately twenty to thirty years older than you, 'yes' s/he is a sexual predator and abused s/he status position of trust, power, authority and accessibility, it's important to share your story!
Or you are possibly experiencing post-traumatic-stress-disorder (PTSD) that is known to affect ALL survivor-victims in different intensity with different reactions (flight, fright or freeze response or fawning response) and can last from a few hours to days to weeks to even years after a sexual misconduct incident and can affect memory, recall and emotions. Some emotions may be shock, disbelief, denial, fear, depression, etc... It's normal to experience a vast range of emotions that you would normally be able to control but can't anymore. They will pass, it's just part of the emotional trauma process... It is the responsibility of everyone to eradicate sexual predators from the Flag / American Football community. If you are able to, please help protect others in the sport by sharing your survivor-victim story with the option to remain anonymous if you have experienced any of the following but not limited to; "Sexual Misconduct (sexual grooming, sexual harassment, sexual touching, sexual abuse, sexual assault) / Rape (including ALL ‘variant forms’ of rape (Not all rapes are a violent physical attack! That is a myth!); statutory-rape (under legal consenting age), forced-rape (physical force), sex-stealth-rape (purposely broken or removed condom without consent), sex-tortion / coercion-rape, alcohol/drug-induced-rape, etc...) / Rape-Culture (victim blaming, victim shaming, victim discrediting, gaslighting) / Systemic-Negligence / Silence-Culture". |

The one-of-a-kind trophy, which is made specially for each Super Bowl, was created in 1966 by Tiffany & Company, from a sketch on a napkin drawn by Tiffany’s Vice President, Oscar Riedner over lunch with NFL Commissioner Peter Rozelle.
